Artists Statement

I am an artist who paints what is inside me. Painting is an exploration of what I am thinking in my conscious state and my subconscious dream state.

Culture and history of the human race continually fascinate me. I am constantly investigating the past and present in daily life. My work distills and displays the discoveries I find. The subconscious mind also plays a large part in my work. I try to grasp my dreams and contemplate their meanings in my work as well.

What I give to the world is an exposure of my inner self: an honest, upfront, no explanation needed revelation.

If my work resonates / connects with the viewer then we have communicated with each other in a profound, unspoken, intimate way. A communication in which words are not necessary.

I was born in Asmara, Eritrea in East Africa and have lived in many parts of the world. All places have colored my life and work.
