Arrangements of locally sourced produce and ceramics and other types of interesting vessels will serve as our inspiration and subject matter for the class. During the one-day workshop, students will learn and practice observational painting techniques using an "alla prima" or all at once painting technique. We will focus on value/color relationships, efficient and expressive mark-making, and composition. This class will be accessible and fun for the novice or more experienced painter. Acrylic paints and materials will be supplied, but oils are welcome if you would like to bring your own.
