Do you wish you could replicate that moment of perfect light that you captured in a photo? What about a place with special memories - what if you just don’t carry your paintings supplies with you everywhere?

Well, guess what,  no worries!  Susan can teach YOU how to paint from a photo reference!  In this workshop students will focus on using our references as a tool for inspiration. Photo references shouldn’t hold you back, nor should you feel like you need to copy the perfectly. The goal is to convey the feeling and the mood of the image, to find areas of interest and interpret the scene.

Learn to approach a photo reference of a landscape and make bold changes where needed, making the scene your own and opening the door to the versatility of living in the moment, taking a photo for reference, and then learning HOW to use that reference without holding youself back!

Susan will be teaching this class in Oil paints, and some experience in the medium is helpful for students If you would prefer to use Acrylics that is welcome, but you will need to supply your own paints.

This class seats 8 students.
