Saturday, June 20th - 1PM to 5PM- $155 - All basic materials supplied, but students will need to bring their own reference image.
Cynthia will teach you to speak the language of Color!
Understanding color in your paintings can be intimidating, but it breaks down to just a few simple components that can really affect the mood of your painting - Temperature, Value, and Saturation. In this half day workshop, you will gain a basic understanding of what these components mean, and how you can us them to your benefit!
Students will paint a landscape and explore expressive non-literal color choices that result in vibrant, engaging compositions. Your landscape painting will be guided by an emotional color palette, and students will leave the class with a huge boost of confidence in their ability to mix colors, find the best contrast, and create a sense of atmosphere.
Students will need to bring their own reference photo, preferably 8in x 10in, either printed or on a tablet.
This class seats 8 students. For any questions regarding our cancellation or transfer policy, please refer to the link in our navigation bar.
