LARGE SCALE ABSTRACT ACRYLICS EXTENDED CLASS! with Kevin Andrew, AUG 22nd and 23rd 2026
Saturday, August 22nd and Sunday, August 23rd - 12:30 PM to 5 PM - $380 - All materials for class supplied!
Join Kevin and 310 ART for a TWO DAY version of his extremely popular class!
Give yourself the freedom - and more time - to paint on a large scale! This abstract painting class will focus on painting BIG - bigger tools, bigger compositions, and exciting techniques will be at your disposal. Acrylic paint, texture paste, scrapers, palette knives, squeegees, wetting medium, markers, and good old brushes will be used. If you’ve taken the one-day version of the class and you want more time to create, to explore the themes and composition of abstract art, or just to stretch your artist muscles once more - this is the option for you!
Students will be using a real flower bouquet as a starting point for your creation, and the class will begin with a brief conversation on intention to get you started on the right track. Kevin will paint while discussing different and demonstrating techniques, color palette considerations, and composition thoughts. He’s ready to share everything he knows!
With more time to create students will finish their painting by the second day. Getting out of your head and truly expressing something from within is the point of this engaging, mind-opening class. Come and wade into the BIG chaos with Kevin!
Students will be given a 30” x 40” canvas to work on during the class and take home. You may bring any markers you enjoy using (permenant, posca, graffiti, etc).
This class seats 8 students. For any questions regarding our cancellation or transfer policy, please refer to the link in our navigation bar.
