The excitement and fun or a visual journal is enhanced further by adding traditional and non-traditional envelopes and enclosures. Tuck away secret messages and add useful storage to your sketchbook to further individualize it. Learn how to alter the edges of pages in delightfully creative ways. This class is great for beginners as well as experienced artists.

This class is great for beginners or as a follow-up to Mary Alice’s Visual Journaling class!

Students should bring two sketchbooks to class. They can be large, medium, or small size and can be rectangular or square.

Mary Alice Ramsey, a native of Western North Carolina, works in the areas of bookmaking, drawing, painting, and collage. She is a published author and performance poet with a Master’s Degree in Art and Art Education, a National Board Certified Teacher, a Master Gardener, and a member of Southern Highland Handicrafts Guild that features her art books. She works from a studio in her home, and is a thirty year instructor of art and bookmaking.
