VISUAL JOURNALING with MARY ALICE RAMSEY, FEB 21st (10am to 4pm) 2026

$155.00

Saturday, February 21st - 10AM to 4PM- $155 - All materials for class supplied, but students would benefit from bringing additional sketchbooks.

The inclement weather datesfor this class is March 7th. Please ensure you are abe to attend, in the event that the original date is postponed due to winter weather conditions.

A visual journal combines art and text to result in a reflective volume of personal self-expression! Use acrylics, watercolors, ink, stencil and more to establish multi-layer backgrounds in your sketchbook. Add in quotes or short, personal written expressions to produce powerful visual journal pages!

This class is great for those with NO art or writing experience! Want to expand your creative abilities? This is also a fantastic class for established artists or journalers that want to add complexity and layers to their work.

Students can choose to add in drawings or collages, with materials provided in class. Mary Alice will provide a sketchbook for each participant, but students are asked to bring one or two sketchbooks (old or new!) to enable them to work constantly between multiple surfaces. Rather than making “finished” pieces of art, we will focus on creative self-expression and “unjudged” results. Expect to leave class with inspiration to continue with this adventurous process!

This class seats 8 students. For any questions regarding our cancellation or transfer policy, please refer to the link in our navigation bar.
