The excitement of your own visual journals will be enhanced by adding depth and extensions through the use of "Windows and Wings." In this class, gain the expertise of cutting single and multiple layers of windows in journal pages and add the enhancement of fold-outs. Learn about and employ "see-through" pages and extend the edges of your journal pages in creative ways to open up new visual adventures. This class is great for both beginners and experienced artists.
Students should bring two sketchbooks to class, either new or used. The size should be medium to small and they can be rectangular or square.

Mary Alice Ramsey, a native of Western North Carolina, works in the areas of bookmaking, drawing, painting, and collage. She is a published author and performance poet with a Master’s Degree in Art and Art Education, a National Board Certified Teacher, a Master Gardener, and a member of Southern Highland Guild that features her art books. She works from a studio in her home, and is a thirty year instructor of art and bookmaking.
