Our Fine Art School for Adults was established in 2006. We are the oldest and most respected independent educational venue  of its kind in the region. Our mission is to provide a University quality learning experience tailored to complement the busy schedules of adults who want a flexible schedule and high quality instruction with professional working artists. We welcome participants  from all over the country.. Located at the Southern Gateway of the River Art District, we are surrounded by galleries, working studios, places to eat and relax. You will step into an authentic artist working environment when you come to our studios in the Riverview Station building.

 Our classes are small in size so that each participant will receive the attention and instruction they want and deserve. All our instructors are professional working artists with years of both higher level art education, teaching experience and professional working time in their studios. Each instructor teaches their specialty, ensuring you receive the most comprehensive and up to date information on materials, the newest cutting edge techniques and the tips and methods each artist has developed and refined.

We welcome all levels, from beginner to advanced artists. Our one room school house model embraces a democratic philosophy of education. We welcome the participation and feedback of each individual in their own unique learning experience.

Our program focuses on individual needs of the learner. For beginners we will gently guide you toward reaching your goals in any medium. For artists with some experience, we offer specialty topics that will improve your skills and work with composition and presentation. For the professional artist we can mentor in professional topics ranging from series development to advanced critiques. For teachers, we can provide you with documentation of your course completion for your continuing education credits.

Most of all, we aim to foster a safe and stress free classroom environment where each individual feels comfortable expressing their unique vision and ideas. All individuals are respected and honored for who they are.

Our classroom is surrounded by a beautiful gallery, with artists working every day, and an outside patio to relax.
