Join Miriam Hughes (watercolorist, lover of details, wild colors and geography!) on this adventurous exploration into understanding and creating unique abstract art using aerial views of our natural landscapes!  

Abstract art is based on nature, drawing heavily on design and composition principles: color, value, line, shape and texture. We will break down what we observe into essential elements. Our emotional responses married with our own color palettes will make your work unique to you!

This class seats 8 students.

Originally a medical illustrator, Miriam Hughes works in gouache, watercolors, pens, collage and fibers and makes time to create art daily. She exhibits widely and is a resident artist and teacher at 310 ART
