In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of using a palette knife to paint a picture! No previous experience with palette knife painting or oil paints is necessary.​

Linda will give a brief overview of the use of the knife and explain and demonstrate several different techniques for using it in your paintings. She will also provide the initial reference photograph from which you will work - everyone will work from the same reference. If you are a fast worker, you will have a few other reference photos from which you can choose for a second painting!

Painting surfaces (canvas boards), solvents, gloves, palette knives, paper towels, etc. will be provided. Bring an apron if you are a messy painter! Also, bring a snack for a quick lunch break and a means of transporting your wet  work of art home - we reccomend a box or tray with low sides.
