Design and paint a small collection of abstract art with Jodi Ohl, the Artist and Author of Abstracts in Acrylic and Ink!

Do your abstract paintings look more like a beautiful background than a finished painting?  If that’s the case, Create An Abstract Collection with Jodi Ohl is just the class for you. Over the course of the workshop, students will work on tried-and-true techniques that will enhance your art practice. By building up your skills around design, color, value, and composition we will set the stage for a 4-piece (or more) collection that will be ready to hang in any home or gallery.

Learn to express yourself through your brushstrokes and color choices and take your abstract art to the next level - whether you are a new artist or a seasoned professional!

This two-day workshop is fun and fast-paced with plenty of time for individual work, as well as a variety of warm-up exercises that will help guide students towards their finished collection.  Students can expect the following:

  • Explore design principles that will help organize your composition.

  • Dive into color mixing and how to pick a palette that is unique to you.

  • Learn how and when to use a variety of mixed media gel and acrylic mediums.

  • Create work that evokes a feeling or experience.

  • Be guided by the instructor in a gentle and nurturing way.

Join Jodi for this exclusive opportunity and learn how to use your brush as your voice and your canvas as your stage as you learn to entertain the viewer in the way only YOU can through abstract art!

This class seats 10 students. For any questions regarding our cancellation or transfer policy, please refer to the link in our navigation bar. for those flying we strongly recommend flight insurance and prebooking accomodations. Jodi will be bring some fun things from hr materials stash also!
